Return Policy

At this time we do not accept returns for any pre-ordered candles or custom candle orders. We pay special care and attention to each item - all of our products are carefully inspected and packaged before shipping. We strive to give you the best experience possible. 

For any damaged items:

  • Proof of damaged item(s) and shipping package must be emailed to rusticpinecandleco@outlook.com within 3 days of receiving shipment
  • Customer will have the option of:
    • receiving a replacement of same product
    • an exchange for another product that is equal to the same value 
    • or the option of receiving store-credit for future purchases  

For unwanted items:

  • Customer must notify us of return, at rusticpinecandleco@outlook.com or by using our "Contact Us" forum
  • Products must be returned within 14 days of original purchase date. 
  • Items must be in original packaging, unused, and in the same condition as originally received
  • Customer is responsible for any shipping costs associated with returning products. We advise using a trackable shipment service, as we cannot always guarantee arrival of package.
  • Due to the nature of our handmade products, any used candles and/or wax melts and tarts are not available for return. 

Once package is received items will be inspected and customer will receive an email with notification of approval or rejection of returned product(s). Customer will then be issued store-credit for returned item.

Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Melody—the founder and candle maker behind Rustic Pine Candle Company.

I’m an armed forces veteran, military wife, and mom who turned a simple creative outlet into a candle company I never could have imagined when I poured my first candle.

Candle making started as something I did just for fun, usually gifting what I made to family and friends. My very first candle came from a little store-bought DIY kit, and somewhere along the way, curiosity turned into a craft, that craft became a passion, and Rustic Pine began to grow.

The inspiration behind Rustic Pine has always been rooted in home, family, nostalgia, and our beautiful Old North State. We’re surrounded by the longleaf pines that inspired our name, and many of our collections are influenced by the places, seasons, and familiar moments that make North Carolina feel like home.

Today, our candles are hand-poured in Southern Pines, North Carolina, where our small team creates each collection from our production space in the heart of downtown. From preparing vessels and pouring wax to labeling and finishing each candle, our products are made with care right here in the community we call home.

Rustic Pine has also found a permanent home inside Old North State & Co., our storefront in downtown Southern Pines. What began as a small candle company now has a place where you can walk through the doors, smell the collections in person, shop Rustic Pine, and even create a candle of your own at our Candle Bar. Having a space where our products are both made and enjoyed has become such a special part of the Rustic Pine story.

We has grown into something much bigger than I ever expected, but the heart behind it has stayed the same: creating thoughtfully made fragrance that feels warm, familiar, and a little nostalgic.
