Meet the Maker

I am Melody, the woman behind Rustic Pine Candle Company

I am an armed forces veteran, military wife, and mother of 2, with a background and passion for the criminal justice system.

I founded this small business after serving my time in the military. Candle making started out as a hobby, of which I would gift candles to my loved ones for any occasion. I made my first candle from a low-quality, store-bought, DIY kit - and I have come a very long way from that! This hobby eventually turned into a passion and the desire to share these creations with so many others - grew.

The inspiration behind the business name, collections, and themes come from our home, family, and our beautiful Old North State. Rustic Pine Candle Co. is located near Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in an area known as "Land of the Pines" (hence the company name). We also love the coziness and warmth rustic home decor brings and strive to bring that same inviting, comfortable and nostalgic feeling to your home.

I hope you enjoy these creations that I have put so much time and effort into curating!
